You love Halloween. You enjoy the coolness in the air, and you love seeing kids walk around in costumes for trick-or-treating. Most of all, you love the pumpkins. Carving pumpkins is a tradition of sorts, and you’ve been counting down the days until you can pick yours up. That’s why you need to attend the Pumpkin Festival at Chatfield Farms. Not only will you be able to pick up the best pumpkin in the area, but you’ll also get to enjoy some drinks, music, and activities. This year’s festival will be on Oct. 12 to 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Tickets are $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $6 for kids aged 3 to 12.
Here’s what you need to know about the festival.
Bring Your Wagon
You are likely going to pick out a pumpkin or two at the festival. Pumpkins are heavy and difficult to carry, so bring a wagon with you. Load your pumpkins in the wagon and then take them over to the pumpkin daycare. The staff will keep an eye on your pumpkins while you go out and enjoy the rest of the activities. Then, they will be waiting for you when you’re ready to go home.
Let the Kids Go Wild
Do your kids have tons of energy? They can burn it off at the festival. First, they will get five carnival game tickets with their admission tickets. They can also hit the obstacle course, enjoy the bounce house, and other activities. When they finally get tired, take them on a hayride or make a stop at the face-painting station. The kids will have so much fun here.

Include Some Add-Ons
While you can certainly have fun just enjoying what’s included at the Pumpkin Festival with the price of admission, you might want to add some extras on. For instance, you can get a discounted ticket to the corn maze next door, or you can pay a little extra to go on the Xtreme Obstacle Course or to take part in the stunt jump.
What are you most looking forward to at the festival? Are you excited about picking out your pumpkin, or do you want to see your kids take over the bounce house? Maybe you’re looking forward to the corn maze. You have lots to look forward to, and you want to make sure you get there without any issues.
